I find it is productive to choose a limited set of tools. The constraint in possible outcomes enables faster decision making, and exploration of various avenues. For this venture my toolbox was 9ru of modular and a stubborn old Korg KPR77.
Decided to take a shortcut around the long drawn out recording and mixdown process. Something I quite enjoy, but also a pit of snakes and sub menus. Instead I recorded direct to 2 track, mixing through an old Mackie 1202. By some standards a Lo Fi approach. But reasonable high headroom, wide bandwidth was maintained.
